The Worlds Longest SCUBA Dive - It's Official!

Declan Devane had two goals when setting out to create a new world record; to ensure the name of his beautiful son, Cillian, lives on and to raise funds for both CD's Helping Hands and St Raphael's Ward, Beaumont Hospital. Declan achieved these goals and exceeded all expectations. Cillian has a place in the hearts and thoughts of all of us and a massive 35,000 euro was raised and shared between the two organisations and the New Guinness World Record was set for the category of 'Longest Open Saltwater SCUBA Dive (cold water)'.

The Dublin Marathon - October 2009

Our very special thanks to Sharon Gilligan & friends for supporting CD's Helping Hands while running the Dublin Marathon. 3,350 euro raised by this group slogging out the 26 miles! Well done to you all and thank you for choosing CD's Helping Hands.

The Flora Women's Mini Marathon on Bank Holiday Monday was a great success for us thanks to the wonderful 'Fahy Ladies' who, despite the ferocious heat of the day, raised over 4000 euro for CD's Helping Hands. Thank you all ladies, you are truly spectacular and I look forward to meeting you all again at the next one!

The Nifty Fifty

Took place on 5th July and was absolutely brilliant! Our heartfelt thanks to all those who supported the event. The Honda 50 enthusiasts from all around the country were a wonderful bunch and made this such a great day for us.
